Start'em Sit'em for Week 8

Well we're past the half-way point in most fantasy leagues.
Remember fantasy owners don't over think who to start in your lineups, go with your best players available, no matter what the match-up is.
Owners who have only one, or two wins, it's desperation time. That means go to the waiver wire early and often to pick that receiver, or defense who you think will have a productive day.
Also don't be afraid to make a lot of trades now. If you have a losing record at this point, that means your players aren't worth that much anyway.

Vikings make splash with Moss

All season long the Vikings have been searching for a No. 1 WR to replace Sydney Rice, who had hip surgery before the season began.

First the Vikings made a hard pitch for suspended Chargers receiver Vincent Jackson, but the trade demands were too high and the Vikings decided to move on.

Fast forward to Wednesday and in a shocking development the Patriots traded WR Randy Moss to the Vikings for a third round pick.

The Vikings now have a deep threat for Brett Favre, which brings his fantasy value back up to a Top 10 QB.

Percy Harvin will benefit the most from the acquisition of Moss, because with Moss getting double-teamed Harvin will be targeted more and have the middle of the field to work with.

TE Visanthe Shiancoe value will dip a little, but he still will be considered a No. 1 TE in fantasy.

RB Adrian Peterson might lose a few carries, but his yardage should not change, although he could lose touches to Moss inside the 10-yard line on fade routes.

On the flip side, fantasy owners have to scratch their heads to figure out what the Patriots are doing.

Long gone are the days when the Patriots were scoring 35 points a game. QB Tom Brady's fantasy value drops with the loss of Moss.

WR Wes Welker moves into the No. 1 slot, but he is a possession receiver and doesn't score a lot of touchdowns. WR Brandon Tate will probably move to a starters role, but TE Aaron Hernandez seems to be a more of a threat for the Patriots.
