Wideouts on the move

The Baltimore Ravens were already pretty loaded on offense with the additions of wide receivers Anquan Boldin and Donte Stallworth this offseason to go with Derrick Mason, and now they have added T.J. Houshmandzadeh.

Houshmandzadeh was the Seahawks No. 1 WR last season and had 79 receptions for 911 yards and three touchdowns.

The move drops the value on Houshmandzadeh a little because he will not get as many targets, but Joe Flacco's fantasy will go way up. With those weapons consider Flacco a Top 10 fantasy QB.

In order to make room for Houshmandzadeh, the Ravens traded WR Mark Clayton to the Rams, who desperately needed WR help after they lost Donnie Avery for the season.

Clayton owners should be happy because he was a No. 4 WR with the Ravens, but now has vaulted to a No. 2 WR and could become a No. 1 for the Rams by mid-season.

Be cautious with Clayton though, because the Rams are a run first team with Steven Jackson and they have Sam Braford, a rookie quarterback, as their starter. Clayton is a nice pickup but won't be a huge difference maker.

Then there's the Vincent Jackson saga. The Pro Bowl WR for the Chargers still has not found a home and now will sit the first six weeks of the season if he is not traded.

Jackson was suspended for three games for drunk driving and will have to sit another three games because he hasn't reached a deal with the Chargers and they have put him on the exempt list.

Jackson is a huge gamble to take even if he is traded. No matter what team he's goes to he won't be in playing shape and he'll have to learn a new system. It's sad because Jackson was becoming a Top 5 wideout after a breakout 2009 season (68 rec., 1,167 yds, 9 TD's).
